Set on the border of the old docks in Gent, this company produced all kinds of industrial concrete.

Inter-Beton, born from a fusion of CBR and Ciments d' Obourg shaped the industrial landscape for more then 40 years.

Many students from the Art Academy found the round silo's, straight lines from the adjacent buildings and spiral stairs a very interesting subject.

All activities ended early 2009 when the firm found a new location for it's activities.

But the whole complex is now the center of a new city integration project.

Because of it's widely known character, the big parts of the old concrete factory will become the beating heart in the new district.
